That'll be bar not PSI. Sounds a little low, I thought classics ran at about 0.9bar. I understand that the wastegate springs can go soft on these so it may not be holding boost.

What sort of boost controller have you got and how do you plan to up the fuelling to match the increased boost?

I know a Z4 runs 0.9 bar so 0.7/0.8 should be right for a UK car.

A 0.3 bar increase over your 0.8 is nearly a 40% increase, I would think twice before not compensating with the fuelling otherwise you might need to buy some new pistons

You could, but for the small gain you will get, it won't be worth it if you end up with a £2.5k+ bill due to it running too lean.....

IMO no as your car will be mapped for the highest boost available with a level of safety
