Default header tank relocated?

if you have seen my thread in projects then youll know i have done some big changes to my car, i am just checking, now i have changed my header tank, is it ok to take both the pipes that went to the header tank (1 from the turbo and 1 from the engine) and connect them together,
thanks, phil.

interesting idea.. I have had the header tank in many locations but back in OE at the moment..

thinking out loud.. is the pipe from header to turbo not a feed to turbo.. the pump to headers a feed to pump.. therefore they are going in opposite directions.. or am i misunderstanding what you want to do?

ah, well as you know, i have relocated the tubo too, so the old pipe that returns from the turbo is left dangaling, so what to do with it, and also the pipe that went to the header tank is too dangaling, but if they are both feeds then i am stuck.

just an quick pic to show you what i mean,

in the pic no1 end would have come from the top of the header tank to the top of the turbo and out to the return pipe (no1), and no2 went from the under side of the header tank to the black metal pipe under the inlet manifold (no2).
im not sure which way these flow, so i am doubting the way i have piped them up, i have a feeling they both flow away from the header tank, and will now both be going in the wrong directions (sucking), as simon pointed out, now you can see what i have done, do you think it will flow right, thanks phil.

difficult to see from the picture tbh.

on the header tank you have two larger connections.. one from the water pump and connects to the bottom of the header.. then you have the other one that connects and flows water to the turbo.. the water then comes out of the turbo and into the head below the turbo...

if your new turbo water cooled?

oh and I think number 1 in your pic is from the water pump and number 2 is the connection on the block/head and return from the turbo normally?

hi simon,
the new turbo isnt water cooled, this is why i just looped the water pipe, so the no2 in the pic is from the water pump and has a positive push flow, and the no1 in the pic return from the turbo into the head is negative and need a flow of water, so if that is the case it should be ok, yes.
