Default Is this any good or just a gadget?

hi!

I'm looking for options on changing my classic prodrive exahust line.
I want a 3" line. I dont mind getting some extra noise, but as long as it's resonable!

I found this item that it's quite interesting... what do you think about this?

this seems to be too simple...

another issue is the temperature of the exausht gases. using this downpipe the exausht gases will come out on a very stange spot of the car. i dont know if catching fire is even an issue...

Chances are that the valve will seize over time due to the heat it is subjected to.

What are your reasons for choosing a 3 inch bore?

Depends how the car is running. You will probably be better off using 2.5 inch if you aren't at silly BHP.

Before my car was stolen (an early classic) it was tuned to approx 280 bhp and I had a three inch full system with a Jasma back box and it sounded lovely. It came with the car and there was nothing wrong with it so it stayed on.

A full 3 inch system (IMO) is only really needed when you are looking at figures in the 300's. You could a 3 inch downpipe and 2.5 inch for the rest.

Of course it is up to you. There is no right way or wrong way. As long as you like it...

no feedback on the temperature issue?

this ideia of having a double mood exausht is quite nice.

normal mode on trafic and so on... and a magic button for crazy time...

anyone on the forum with this gadget?
