Default Is there a cheaper sensor than £312, help!!!

Hi all. I need a new exhaust sensor, it's the one in the rhs ex. manifold. Caught the wires when pulling engine, could possibly solder back on but not sure if resistance will affect map / running. Dealer quoted £312 for a new'un, well you can probably guess my thoughts on that. I was wondering if anybody knew if an NGK one or similar would work within the engines parameters. Any help please as I need to get the car back on the road for the first week in January.

I believe that dealer has the monoply on them and you can only source with the same plug from them..

Solder the wires back on, assumnig there is enough length etc

I'm assuming that you're talking about the exhaust gas temp sensor that is fitted in the turbo up pipe. I bought one from my local dealer for around 60 quid for my newage WRX. Sounds like at 312 quid thay are trying it on.

Yep, the one in the manifold. There are universal ones for 40 quid ish. I wonder if one of these will run ok (just gotta connect the plug to the wires. Anybody tried it?

imported from the us but they are a denso unit and a direct replacement with the correct plug etc.. I had one a month or so ago. You will need to give the guy the oe uk part number though which i cant remember, although it could be 22641AA042 you can confirm that from any uk dealer. Mine arrived next day in the post.

If you are running a Newage, DO NOT FIT A UNIVERSAL ONE, it will fry your ecu.
