Default 1998 ECU swap

I want chip my impreza i reliase by looking at other posts this isnt going to be an option with 98 uk ecu

Could i use a WRX ecu ?, or what else.sorry i am clueless on the versions etc..

I think you have to fit an apexi pfc or similar for that model.

only way to do this is to change for an after market ecu, apexi, simtek, gems etc i had the same problem but have now managed to pick up a gems ecu cheap, oh another jolly green monster is trying to make this ecu mapable have a word with him to see if any developments on it

Allegedly, yes. Seems to be a bit of a mystery when it's gonna be commercially available...

ESL have said they have been going to do it for 18 months now (maybe more).....

The longer it takes the more people will use other ecu's, untill it won't be worthwhile doing it!

I am still holding out for ESL. Sure others are too - credit crunch :O)

To many things are different to enable a swap to wrx ecu on uk, turbo and in some cases injectors and maf just to name a few
