Default misfire between 4500 and 5000rpm

I have a misfire when on wot between 4500 and 5000rpm, it pulls fine to 4500 then has a little cough and a fart and then at 5000 its a way again to the redline.
Just changed lambda sensor and going to change plugs tomorrow, anybody got any other ideas?
Thanks..

I would try your plugs and coil packs as yours does it all the way to the redline were mine clears itself after 5k

yes. But since you mentioned that about 3 months ago it wouldnt rev above 4500 it turned out to be fault 32 which is speed sensor. I reset the ecu and has been fine since. Would it clear again after 5k rpm if it was a fault on that? Thanks for you reply.

I had the same problem mate - MAF was fine, coil packs were fine - changed my plugs and problem seems sorted.

Im going to change my plugs tonight and put 7s in instead of 6s. Just seems weird that it only does it for 500 revs. Think there must be a change in the map at about them revs because before it seemed to pull really hard then. Thanks again.

Its back, now I dont know wether this helps or has anything to do with it but it seems to do it more when its really cold, am 99% sure its not the fuel cut due to overboost but I notice that when it misses the rev counter seems to drop a couple of hundred revs although the engine revs dont drop. I may be wrong but this tells me that its something killing the ignition.
What do you think?

The coil packs can break down causing this problem. Also, did you re-gap the plugs, as a smaller gap helps when running higher boost.
I had the same problem after a re-map to 1.35 bar, the spark can be blown out by the increased boost, the smaller gap cured this for me

Hi, no I didnt re-gap the plugs, it said on the box that they were preset and altering them could cause damage.

I checked the fault codes tonight and found,

23 mass air flow sensor.
45 Pressure sensor / Pressure exchange solenoid valve.

What is the pressure sensor?
