theres no point, the vf will def spool up alot quicker, but will run out of puff very quick.
the td, will take a little longer, but. you will feel the power from her
but regards to the smaller vf, once the boost does kick in, theres no 'bloody hell involved.
still with the td05 mate.

Is not the VF22 the 'big' turbo of their range?!
I'm certain that the 22 has greater top-end power potential than the TD05-16G, but is probably laggier as a result. (It was a factory fit option for the 22B, the next size down - the VF23 - being the std fitment).
If you've no plans to go beyond c. 350bhp, then stick with TD05 - a great choice. Robust too. I'm loving my one on my 1993 WRX (OEM fitment).

i went from a vf22 to a td05 and the tdo5 is so much better imo mine is aggresive comes with big bang and holds on all the way up to the redline at 1,2 bar.
my vf22 was more progressive and dropped boost when you hit about 5500rpm ish and it did start to spool earlyier but it got full boost a bit later than the td05.
thats was my experiance anyway

the VF22 is the largest one, it spools around the same as a td05, it gives the same amount of power up until a point, but the td05 can be abused a lot more and ran with a hell of a lot more mid range boost before failure, which helps bump the torque right up
as i said, they are much of muchness until you get right up near the red lines
my car came with a vf22 as standard

For some unfathomable reason, I had a preconceived idea that the TD05 was similar to the 'small' '24 , hence my post... I had no idea that the TD05 was comparable with the 'large' '22! Coolio though.
