how to deristrict my 51reg wrx sti? HELP!!!

Question how to deristrict my 51reg wrx sti? HELP!!!

I still havent managed to find anybody to get the restricter taken of my car. bought a chip of ebay that did nothing. somebody please help me go over 120mph. thanks

couple of choices.. fit a derestictor on the clock etc..

or get it remapped as the speed limiter can be removed then.

I can remove the speed limiter in the ecu for you, if you like.

I fitted a deristrictor on the clocks and it did nothing. weres the best place local to peterborough to get it sorted? thanks

Try putting Zen Performance in to Google you might be surprised what the first listing is

yeah got there number now so going to ring them 2moro. i rang scoobyclinic. 100 pound plus vat but its about 3hr from me.

rang zen performance and they dont do anything to do with deristricting. back to the drawing board.

Tactrix, Romraider and ECUFlash.

A couple of hours reading on Romraider.com and you'll be able to do it yourself, who knows you might catch the mapping bug.......

not being funny but i would rather just pay and get it done. i no there must be somebody that can come and do it. i cant be the only person that has an import that they have had to get deristricted. thanks

Well, normaly people on here that get an import get the car remapped and at that point if the restriction is still there it would be removed. You could phone a ECUTek mapper and they might be willing to do it for you.

yes..

via a remap the speed restrictor will be removed, improved throttle response, better mpg and more power and torque.
