I've been offered a HKS fuel regulator......brand new. Are these ok? Is it worth fitting myself, or wait until I get my new turbo etc and do it all at once with a remap?

Would a garage be able to set this up with their own guage, then remove it. Or should I have a guage in the car?
Also....why 3 bar mate? Is the 3 or 2.6 a standard pressure for the car?

I would fit a gauge yourself, on the reg you choose, most have a port for this. You can buy them for £15 or so, and will help you set it up before you take it to the garage. I like to do as much as possible myself, cut down on the garage bills!
3bar is a standard pressure, which the garage can change on the map if needed.

Im sure there's one on here, do a search.
Basically:
Remove the old reg from the rail, its in front of the turbo.
Fit a fuel rail adaptor in place of the old reg
Connect this adaptor to the new reg with fuel hose
Connect the existing return line to the new reg(may need a longer 8mm hose)
Connect the vac line to the new reg(again, may need a longer hose, 3mm from memory)
And your done! (bar setting the pressure)
Just need to choose a location for the new reg.
Also, Carl Davey is a good place for the adaptor if you don't get one with the new reg Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply

Ok thanks mate! To be honest there is a local garage near me who are well priced (£50 for fitting a cam belt), and they are very good. So might give them all my business. I will have to get all the parts though, so will email the guy on that site thanks.
Would £30 be worth it for that Reg? As thats what my mate is after for it.
Thanks a lot for the help dude!
