A long shot and being the eternal optimist , have you checked the cam belt?
Does it turn over of show any other signs of life?

If you buy a chipped key from subaru...the manual tells you how to set it up to your car using the keypad!

Hi mate, ive got a 99T same colour as yours, i got it a few weeks ago, but it only has one Subaru key, but ive got 2 fobs. The key isnt the best so i thought id better get a spare one. I went to a key cutting place on the high street and they put my key in some device and said it was encrypted and would have to go to subaru for them get a new key (take log book etc) and they would then re programme it with the engine management unit. however would cost 110 quid.

Ive ordered a subaru key off ebay for 3.99 states new and uncut with transponder, the pic looks exactly the same as the key ive got, hopefully i will get the key cut on the high street and then take it to subaru to make it work with the managment system, apparently 35 quid, Does anyone know any other way o of getting it sorted?

Let me know if you get you get yours sorted mate.

paul
