Default is this a knocklink

iv recently noticed that there are five small leds on the underside of the dial surround on my classic. wen i start the car the leds light up 2green 2yellow and 1 bigger red. i was just wondering what this could be? is it some type of knock sensor?

Hmm, my knocklink lites up,when ragging it etc, but its not like a traffic lite, it could be green green flicker flicker amber amber amber flicker flicker etc for a while, if proper on it then a red now and a again on the limtier etc, thats how a knocklink should illuminate.

if they lite up green green amber amber red when you 1st start it like traffic lights/ a race starts etc then maybe it isnt a knock link as such, get a pic of it maybe ?

unless coincidentally you do get knock at start up ?

If yo uhave LED`s in the dash area the box could be anywhere, theres 2 ways fo doing it, extending the box led`s which would mean a box is somehwere else not near the led`s or the other is just to remove the box lid and put the led`s through someholes meaning the knocklink led box would be behind the dash where the l`eds are.

if that makes sense, do they look like mine ? ( in between the 2 sets of dials)

this setup, i extended the knocklink led box, somy knocklink box is behnd my stereo.

ah i see, i would expect that the leds have been extended from the box then because mine are on the plastic cover above the dials.

yep its a knocklink. At least you know someone has bothered to monitor det levels on your car webster. Its a good sign of a careful owner. Leave it fitted. if you ever see ambers or reds when driving, back off the throttle and investigate the cause of the det.
