Default Safe AFR reading ?.setting boost.

I have just got a manual boost controller to have a play with on a standard 2.0l impreza P1 just to see what we can acheive,we will be using a wide band to set this up and see what boost it can be run upto, but what is the safe "limit" afr reading we should be looking for ?.The car is completely standard, with only a walbro fuel pump and sti panel filter, will be run on shell v-power and mayb some of millers octane plus,(if this helps) ?.
Any advice/feedback please here guys.
Thanks pete.

the map on the p1 is fairly agreesive on timing and basically an sti5 map iirc..

I wouldn't go playing with it in this way without detcans, well in fact I wouldn't play with it in this way without remapping it..
