on my00 i uped the boost to 1.1 fuel cutin at 1.2, Not sure about your but i would say 1. is ok.
set it to 1. if fuel dont cut off then your fine, if you do go higher and fuel does kick in then you will no as it feels like you just braked with your left foot.
I'm fully decated now and been remaped so i nolonger use a manual boost controller.

I wouldn't agree with this.
Fuel cut is caused by overboost and nothing more. The ECU wont cut the fuel if your about to melt a piston for example due to running lean.
It will cut the boost after staying above the a threshold for 2 seconds IIRC (around 1.2bar)
I would be untra cautious using a dewes device. The decat has probably already reised the boost from stock and increasing it more will be eating into your precious safety margin. If you use one get the the AFR checked out at the least.

Dawes, filter and decat is one of the best most cost effective mods going.
Good idea to have a small lambda display (available from about £30, I used to use a JWRacing one) and then its all good baby.

You not only need to monitor the mixture but more so potential detonation.
IMO your asking for trouble. These cars tend to go bang if you dont map them for increased boost. Det kills the crank quickly. Trust me
