People fit regulators for different reasons.......Im not sure at what point the oem reulator will become unsuitable.

I did a few mods all at once which included converting the fuel rails to parallel, painting the inlet manifold, insulating spacers, fuel reg etc.....

I originally had the stock 380cc injectors that were maxed out. I was putting a bigger turbo on and needed some bigger injectors or up the fuel pressure ( I did both).

If your injectors are maxed out but you only need a little more from them or need more of a safety margin then fit a fuel reg

Mike.

I remember a post by Bob Rawle where he said the 255lph Walbro would casue problems in a pre-01My car as the return was too small, so you needed an FPR anyway to fix that, other than that, as Mike said, its got nothing per se to do with power as to why you may need an FPR, but the stock one (from what Bob said) in yours will max out at about 280bhp as above that the larger fuel pump you will need will max out the stock regulators return flow causing rich running at low fuel usage such as overrun and idle.

Oh and if your going to copy Mr tech numpty Clarkson and claim "249 touques", at least spell torque properly (your My scooby page), mine has 320 torques......or 220lbft!

Simon

Think they are looking for a National Moderator

Just coz you don't get an answer straight away doesn't make this a poor place. 85,000 members justifies that.

There are people on here (Daz included) that have a wealth of knowledge but comments like the ones you have made will mean that knowledge will not be passed onto you.

Don't forget to shut the door on your way out.
