Its a Subaru gearbox, so of course it will fit a Subaru.

As to whether it is compatible with the rear diff that is in your particular model, is a different matter entirely.

Again, you would need to elaborate as to the model of 99 Impreza !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or easier still, post the tranny code from your current box.

Oddly, chart I have doesnt list ratios for the 1AA.

But it is just listed as a typical UK box, so the 2AA above will swap just fine.

ok are you sure it's supposed to be froma 2002 car!
I thought this woiuld have been different as it's a new age car?

Think away, but it will still fit.

Subaru arent as stupid as other car manufacturers ( mostly french ), who change patterns and designs every ten minutes, making it almost impossible to source the correct parts..

so am i right in thinking this will drop straight into a 1999 impreza Turbo then?

I thought the new age wrx had a different gearbox (more robust) so if this isn't the case I would be better off fitting an Sti box as it's stronger?
