Have you checked under the rear seat?

There's a connector on the driver's side of the car what can melt and short out. Either that, or the pump may have given up.

is that the conectors at the pump? if so they seem 2 be fine also the pump is only 2 months old and worked fine when i took the engine out going 2 test it 2nite. when looking at the ecu i noticed that a earth wire that is conected 2 the bottom bolt was melted striped it back and no other wires have been damaged. do u think that the power surge that happened will have damaged the ecu?

you have to take off the bottom part of the rear seat to see this connector i had the same problem, the connector had shorted out and melted so renewed the wires in the connector and all was fine its not the one on the pump itself,,hope that helps.

Default still fooked

have tried all plugs arround the pump and done a power test and there is no power at the pump. tried another ecu and still no joy. have all the interior removed and checking the loom. found 1 earth wire melted at the ecu. but everything else seems ok.

have you done this? you say you have checked the fuel pump connectors but you need to check this to. you wont have any continuity if this is melted i.e power to pump. hth

The fuel pump relay is behind the dash board on the drivers side, its sits at the bottom of the "A" post (windscreen pillar) you will find a small bracket with 2x can relays in it. the relay you want has 2x yellow wires, a light green/black wire & a black/red wire.

Thick Yellow = 12v Ignition Feed for fuel pump
Thin Yellow = 12v Ignition Feed for relay
Thin Light Green/Black Stripe - ECU applies an earth to this wire to trigger relay
Thick Black/Red Stripe = Supplies 12v to fuel pump when relay is triggered

Does the relay click when you turn the ignition on?
Is there power on the switch side of the relay?
Have you checked continuity of the wiring from the pump back to the relay?

What color wires has the relay got?

Have any of the wires got 12v on them with the ign on?
