450BHP TURBO ?
hello you lot can you lot recommend a definate 450bhp turbo .
considering a engine build 2.2 forged engine / just curious to what turbo people would go for .
considering a MD 321 H but this probly only 400 or just over, im after a bit more running reliable 4**bhp / running on v power and maybe nf booster A forrest map ,
any suggestions would be good thanks a lot .

SC50 Turbo this is a 500BHP turbo and will sit at 450 no problem with torque levels to match
Or MD321T which is good for 450BHP also
Both are about the same price...
SC50 £1195
MD321t £1295
there might be cheaper out there but i think these are 2 of the best ones if you want reliablity.

what do you think to the md 321 h on a 2.2 L engine
what would you think this would make in bhp .
maybe this is all i need but i definately want 400+ and the engine should be capable of 500bhp .

I used to have the 321h on a 2ltr last year and it was mapped to 383hp 350 torque before i changed to the SC46.
On a 2.2 you should get just over 400 with the 321h
Its a very good turbo very quick spool lot of fun
But i would recomend the 321T or SC50 if you want 450 with room to spare cos i think the 321H would be at its max at 400+HP
SC50 on a 2.2 will be excellent choice imo as you should see more torque than HP depending on mods ie heads etc

321H on a built 2.2 engine cranked up to two bar would make for an astonishingly quick road car with tremendously accessible torque. I'm running around the 420bhp mark at the moment on a 321H/2.0L but that's using V-Power and 10% methanol. I'm planning a built engine myself (probably 2.5) and am tempted to stick with the 321H initally to see how I get on. At 3000-4000rpm and 2bar, I should be gaining an extra 100bhp and 100lb/ft of torque

If you can be bothered with messing with methanol, a 2 litre (STI) could make around 450 bhp with an MD321H !
I hope, mines in bits at the moment.... bloody bolts mumble !
Halfords first thing tomorrow LOL

Have a chat with AET Turbos.
I tested a few standard position turbo's on my 2.5L Cosworth engine. One of them achieved 480bhp @1.4bar and the current one achieves 530bhp @ 1.7bar. All done on VPower.

I have not seen anyone say anything about the FP Green Turbo.
You can import one from the states for about £900 and that is with delivery.
Will all so do the 450bhp your looking for.

Have a chat to Mark at Lateral Performance 020 8420 5444 if you are planning a 2.2 build (good advice and prices).
Although the MD321T will do over 450bhp on a 2.2 he also has an MD321T+ turbo now, which should do over 500bhp on a 2.2 build all still in the standard mount position.
