450BHP TURBO ?
#32
321T should be ok - 321H is way too small and you'd be bored with 420bhp, especially in summer when heat soak, if you take on track soaks away the power
Some strange advice (only IMO) you definately dont need a new crank at 450bhp or 500bhp for that matter
Gearbox may be fine at more than that level of power, mine was for 8 years on an sti5 including some track days (on a 2litre I might add and comfortably quicker than the GT3/GT3RS brigade at Snetterton the other week - at least in a straight line ;-) ). If you go to car wrecker racetracks like Brands, or Coombe that are very bad on mechanicals (Brands becuase the Indy circuit is a poorly designed circuit and Castle C becuase of the bumps into Quarry) then the GB life may be short...... I wouldnt bother changing until 'it goes'
(I use methonal, NF Booster and VPower), re Meths you cant argue with the cheaper route (dont know where 70p a litre comes from - unless Jennychem (what other suppliers are there) are doing a cheaper rate than they used to as its nearer 85-90p all in delivered and VAT - still a lot cheaper than VPower BUT probably about the same when you consider you have to add a lot more for the equivalent petrol) but it is hassle, but then cheap performance....

Isn't harvey also using a STi V6 5-speed with his 600bhp wagon?

It is possible, depends what your using for - sti5/sti6 stock I think are identical.
600bhp does sound rather high though for a std gearbox...... I dont know anything about Harvey's set up so cannot comment at all
