Default newage brake stopper - just bling?

Hi,

As there is a group buy going at the moment was wondering if any of you lot out there have fitted a brake stopper to a ***newage*** and felt any improvement or are they just "bling"?

I suspect they do nowt, so opinions please

Cheers

It is rumored to stop flex of the brake servo unit, seems to be a practical mod for the classic (or some classic models) but so far no one has confirmed that it has any place on a newage car, i.e. waste of money unless you like bling

great on my classic, not so great on my newage

fitted one after getting braided lines in both cases and there was no difference on the sti, not even a placebo effect

Hmmm - braided lines - that's a mod I've been considering - have upgraded the front pads to DS2500's but they're still nowhere near good enough under hard braking IMHO - braided lines improve things?

braided lines will firm up the pedal nicely.
not sure if they have any effect on braking power (i doubt it) but i hate a spongy pedal and the braided lines sure cure that

You will notice the difference whether it be a newage or classic guaranteed .... if not just send it back

which is about as fair as it gets really!
i got mine thru a CDF group buy and i think at the time i said that i might have noticed a difference if i had tried the stopper before the braided lines, but the other way round it made no difference.

i think due to the stiffness of the newage you'll never get as noticeable an effect as on a classic. all IMHO of course

I have a CDF on my Forester (so mix of classic and neage at the front) before I got it I could watch the brake Mc move by over 6mm when I had the misses stand on the brake pedal (on the drive)...now it doesn't move at all...simplest way is to whatch it while someone stands on the pedal (engine needn't be running as the force on the bulkhead is from the foot).
