Hi my fuel gauge has just started playing up in the last couple of days and when i put £20 in this morning it didnt go past the empty line.

Anyone any ideas if it would be the sender or the gauge? Is there anyway of testing either of them to eliminate one or the other? Thanks

 

Used to be that if you got to the sender,and earthed the signal wire out to the guage,if the guage moved all he way round to full then the sender was faulty......
