Default Ported & ceramic coated manifolds and uppipe

Hi all,

Just to share info on these, which will be going on my WRX soon.

P&P, coated headers+crossover pipe from GrimmSpeed :: Subaru Racing Partsfor $450 inc postage to UK.

Coated Uppipe from :: Crucial Racing Systems - The parts you need for the performance you want for $290 inc postage to UK.

Lucky to have escaped customs duty on both.

Still waiting for ported & coated VF35 from Crucial racing.

Kemp

The uppipe is straight pipe.
The flexible one you see is the OE Subaru crossover pipe which is ported/coated.

I did not order high flow crosspipe sold by Grimmspeed as its expensive and again flexible type. Its diameter is 2" compared to OE type 1.75".

First of all I wanted to retain factory headers and didn't want wrap them. Coating is expensive here.

Ported/wrapped ones from Harvey or any other source will cost up to £400 and also time involved to do them.

Now I can send my headers back after fitting these and get $100 refund and it works less than £200. It did make sense to me!

Yes.

Infact you can send your headers, downpipes, turbos, intake manifolds etc, to grimmspeed or crucial racing for porting/coating and save $$ on core exchange fee.

They will post it back to you, after work done in two weeks.

P&P and Coating

I've sent VF35 exhaust turbine for both porting/coating to crucial racing and they are charging me $190 excl. postage.

APi ported headers are £150.00 + VAT wrapping extra, or buy a roll [£39.00 + VAT ]and do it yourself.

Mocom racing are £160

Harvey's are £250

Wrapping doesn't last longer than ceramic coating and try to get them coated here in UK will cause a deep whole in your pocket!

Ceramic coating costs are £35 + vat per foot
