Default Changed sparks-engine warning light on!

Hi all,
Dont know if anyone can point me in the right direction but ive got a problem after fitting my new sparks yesterday. New set of ngk6s gone in but for some reason the car keeps stalling after a few seconds of being turned on.
They should have come reading spaced and i cant see any air leeks in the air hoses.
Could it be ive over/under tightened them? (i did them up by hand then nipped them with a rachet). I did notice 2 of the coil packs had hairline cracks in them, but would this make much difference and would it not have come up before??
Any help of what you think i may have done wrong will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Paul

Try the old plugs back in and see if fault still persists.

Never take for granted the gapping of new plugs..!

Although, I doubt they'd be that far out to cause the problems you're experiencing..!

As suggested, refit old plugs an see..

ok will have to give that a try then.
Would the hairline cracks in the black plastic part of the coil pack make much difference of should it be ok?

i was told that any hairline cracks in a coil would indicate that it need replacing.

Did you remove any pipework to make the job easier? if so you may have not reconnected the MAF sensor?

just a thought.

Hairline cracks in coil packs will cause problems, especially in these cold/damp conditions we're having ATM..!

If they`re pfr6b`s and you want to gap them always set mine to 0.8mm,tried em at 0.7mm just ran better at 0.8mm(uk turbo),though im with the others on the coilpacks being your problem to be honest.
