does that come with a de-cat downpipe or just a sports cat?
and did it make much difference? or just the noise

i got it from a friend who smashed his up its a full decat version, as its hks i should imagine it makes a difference as they are one of if not the best jap tuning company. i will know when my apexi ecu arrives from japan and i get everything set up price wise i paid 200 for it i think it cost him £1000 new with the hks headers, but there are plenty of scooby exhaust makers out there. where abouts are you from.

imo you cant beat magnex with a H and S decat downpipe, sounds subtle when driving normal and not intrusive on motorway, but when you hit boost at full throttle it is amazing, must make a we sound clip
depends what you want too dave, are you after something that will wake the dead all th time or what ive described above?

I am also after an exhaust system i wanted to know if i was to go for de cat centre section and sports cat downpipe would it still pass the MOT. Mine is a JAP import WRX.
or is it worth going for the full de-cat system and just changing the cat for the MOT.

To the poster.....................you will have to define 'best' in your opinion.
There are far to many out on the market and it all comes down to personal taste consisting of value for money, sound, loudness, tone, looks, reputation, build quality..........are there any more
For me it's a Blitz Nur Spec R with decat downpipe (although I have a sports cat)

well for me iam looking best sound and best performance???
dont really mind if its quite noisey because i dont really use it for long jouneys.
and ive also heard you have 2 have a boost controller if you have a full decat system because the boost climbs to high?
and iam from lichfield,staffordshire

lots of good exhausts out there but if you buying anything go 3".i made the mistake of buying 2.5 in the past, yes they are dead on but if your like most on here you will be after power upgrades for your my 05 sti anytime soon .so make sure you have a good base exhaust to start off with i.e 3" turbo back.....but be carefull if your doing it by the book and going to go the whole hog you should look into re-mapping as well to keep your baby right.

I have tested already blitz nur spec/HKS dragger 2 n hyper silent /fujitsubo rm01/apexi super megaphone n Zero sports.
Found the Fujitusbo/hks hyper silent n zerosport to be the compromise between power n sound level

scoobysport(janspeed) is spot on,excellent burble on idle, even better at full chat, the way a scoob should sound, and it is one of the best iv seen for build and fitment, and its one of the best flowing as i was recomended it by andy f when my car got mapped

I have the Blitz NuR Spec R with a Prodrive sports cat and PPP decat section.
The sound is awesome and if it all gets too much you can just stick the bung in it.
When Andy Forrest mapped the car he was impressed with how little difference the cat seemed to make when compared to a full decat.
The build quality of the Blitz is far superior to the other systems I looked at before deciding on one.
Try and see / hear one fitted as I did before shelling out if unsure (Thanks Revolution )...
