Default Which ECU is best for my 93 Import saloon?

I have just replaced my w6 ecu with a Z4 that was kindly supplied by another scoobynet member. The fact is that I am really impressed with the difference it has made to my car for not a lot of money and no trouble at all.
Bearing in mind that the Z4 is a 260ps ecu, are there any other standard ecu's that will fit my car and give me further power enhancements??? What about the early STI ecu and are there any others that will give me that little bit more.
Many thanks.

Sti ECUs are not really suitable as they are mapped for Sti internals. The rev limit is set higher for one thing. It would be easy to blow the engine if you dont change gear before it gets over 7k. Later WRXs with 280 ps are 3 plug ECUs, so they wont fit.

Next step is a chip in the standard ECU, which can be live mapped these days at some places.

I have heard mixed reports about the Mines ecu and only good about the Scott T upgrade.
Thanks for all your help. I have mailed Scott and will see what he can do for me.

Mines ecu can produce a lot of power but at what cost at least with a scott t chip you can get support if anything goes wrong.

Try Enduring Solutions Limited for their remappable daughter board (has a list of dealers of which Scott t is 1 of them)

I have gone for the Scott t chip. This should give me 16 + psi and approx 280bhp on my car. That is enough for me power wise as I want to remain within safe limits.
I only have one concern and that is my fuel pump. I am assuming that it would be better to fit a walbro pump, but that my standard pump is capable of dealing with 280bhp???

Your fuel pump can but it's very old and a Walbro is so cheap you may as well upgrade it.
