What is it......?
The vacuum pipe that was connected to this sensor from the inlet manifold now goes directly through the bulkhead, which i can only quess then goes straight to the ecu. Would the ecu have a built in map sensor....?

Cheers RV, just got some more info on this and i'm told this could well be compressor surge, and that the boost may need knocking back in the area it's causing problems, How i really don't know?? can Boost be Limited in specific areas with the Autronics ECU?? anyone?

Simon, Sorry for any confusion, I asked the original question on behalf of blueburle as its his car that has the problem of compressor surge, we noticed that the map sensor had an open ended pipe connected and wondered if it could be connected to the fault. Since my original post BB has spoken to various others and they have concluded that it must be compressor surge and i believe, will be in the hands of a highly reguarded autronics mapper shortly.
Once again thanks for your help and sorry for the confusion.
