overboosting after K+N
Howdy,
ive just fitted a K+N I/K to my 93 wrx and now its hitting fuel cut
Spec:
3" full exhaust system inc. downpipe, Scott. T chip @1.2 bar, dawes device set at 1.2bar............and now K+N I/K.
When putting my foot down the boost goes off the standard subaru boost gauge (bank of 3 Lamco ones above the stereo) where as before it would hit 1.2.
I imagine im gonna have to turn down the dawes but I like it this nippy....until it hits fuel cut.
Ta muchly

Correct I had the same spec a couple of years ago, fitted an induction kit and a straight pipe to replace the plastic inline box and it hit the fuel cut. I bought a dawes and just knocked the boost back a tad.

If it's running stock boost control (or even if the Dawes still runs the pipes through the boost solenoid), then make sure the restrictor hose on the bottom of the solenoid is still there and not 'junked' because the induction kit has nowhere to put it.. Just run it to atmo with the restrictor still in the pipe.
