Can some please, if you have a 300zx TT MAF and power FC, just turn your car ingintion lights on, and monitor the airflow in mv or whatsever it is....i think my MAF may have died and want to see...also on sensor check what volts do you get going to it? is it about 1.7

thanks

hmmm now im worried!

yesterday my car wouldnt run and was misfiring like a pig (came home with the RAC lol) and mine was reading 2400ish mVwith ignition lights on, but not running and about 1.7volts
went out a few mins ago, wouldnt fire/just turned over and with ingnition lights on shown 200ish mV raisng to 400 then 800mV when turning over.

but the volts to it on the sensor check was 0.7 ish....anyone think i need a new MAF???

Sounds like a maf failure to me....
Mine went and started as a slight missfire and no idle...
but ran so rich it coked all the plugs up.
Then the spark was too weak even to get the car to fire and start.
clean plugs and new maf and problem sorted!

New Z32 MAF from APEX Performance is £235 from their ad in JP. Still pricey though.

I got one brand new from Japan for £150 last year. From memory my readings are around 400mv 'off' and 1100mv at idle. Maxes out at around 4v (i.e. my TD05-16G at 1.45 bar doesn't pull any more airflow than that, not that the MAF can't take any more!)
