Whats' the pressure of a standard fuel pump?
Whats' the pressure of a standard for a MY97 wrx fuel pump?
The reason I ask because I need to replace my fuel pump but I can only find the walbro 255. My engine is standard and will stay like that, so I just want to replace the pump. So if the standard one is of the same rating as teh walbro, I would get the walbro.

The standard fpr is set at 3bar so no matter what pump you fit it will be 3bar unless you fit an adjustable fpr.
If its any good to you I have an uprated sytec pump which came as part of my mocom 555 kit, never used it as I already had 1 fitted. bnib £50.

As above, it is the fuel pressure regulator that controls pressure. The O/E FPR is non adjustable.
Fitting an uprated pump should allow a greater volume of fuel to flow.
Sytec pump/Walbro 255 lph pump, same thing.
Classic uses Walbro 341 pump and New Age to M/Y 05 as far as I know is either 343 or 342, cannot remember without looking in a file.
Both available from A.S. Performance and elsewhere for around £80 posted if the pump above is not suitable.
Older cars ie Classics, often have "tired" pumps because of their age so a replacement, on a hard driven or older car, even in standard form is not a bad thing.

Not to want to HiJack the thread but is it worth replacing the fuel pump in an 05 WRX STI Type UK - I will run around 320-340BHP when all done and was wondering about the pump.
Many thanks
