Default VIN #

Hi, I recently bought a wrecked 2002 JDM STi. The engine, gearbox and diffs are still good, and a few other things. I own an S202, and was trying to find out if the wreck I bought has the Spec C engine. The Vin # is
GDB011746. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Special

Hi, thanks a lot for your help. Do you know what the differences would be from a regular STi engine to a Spec C?

Thanks

Hi, I heard the Spec C engines come with much more aggressive cams. My S202 has a rev limit of 8,100 as the redline starts at 8,000. Do the regular STi's rev to 8,000 also?

Thanks

you might be right on the cams though my 04jdm sti has the same redline. Also has the uprated bottom end bits.

Hi, I have one more Vin # to check if you can. It is GDB-006355. I'm going to try and find out exactly what the difference is with the Spec C just out of curiosity.

Thanks a lot
Michael
