Default non starter.... help.........

Help help advise needed asap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to start the car tonight its been standing for 3 weeks or so wont start..
im getting a clickiing noise i guess thats from the starter?? do i need a new battery or can i just put it on charge or is it my starter thats knackered..

The clicking noise is the solenoid. I'd get some jump leads on it to get it started, then give it a good run for an hr or so. Should be fine then..

Worse case scenario - New Battery = £50.

Thanks guys i have put the battery on charge overnight so i will see in the morning, so whats the deal with the clicking noise not enough power to fire the pin across to start jump iti kind of know how it all works just wanting to know whats what.
Can i use like a trickle charger if i dont use the car much ??anyone had any exprience with these.
Apart from disconnecting the battery is there anything else i can do ??

You can buy battery maintainers that you leave connected upto the battery and they will constantly maintain peak charge.
