Question UK - WRX/STI confussion

Can some one tell me the difference in a uk impreza 97 and a wrx/sti as in will a strut brace for a wrx fit a uk model? and the same question applys to general parts, ie springs, drive shafts etc???
Proberly a realy dumb question,
but wanna make sure befor i blow a months wage on ebay......

Bodyshells are inherently the same, certainly larger things like strut braces will carry across no probs, not to be confused with newage which is different!

Or early Forester which is half newage and half classic!
