confussing or what?
I have just downloaded this program, it looks very confussing and all i wanted to do was to download some music that i can play off line.
I was told this was one of the best, can some body email me easy to under stand instructions on how to use it, or tell me where to get a easy one to use.

WinMX is nowhere near the tool it used to be 
Go the the newsgroup alt.music.mp3.winmx and they will be able to answer any questions you may have
But basically, its peer2peer which means you must connect to a server first and then search for your files.

Scott W knows a thing or two about WinMX
I killed our network bandwith with it, and ruined shed loads of training on our VoIP product we sell as they had none left!!!!
I was also complaining about how poor the service was everytime I phoned London and Ireland (prior to the training) so when they found out the cause of it, I was kinda embarassed!
Seems strange now that I only use it during the night our VoIP connection is far better!

I went to use it again to night, keyed in a song clicked on search and noting is happening,
it seems to be dead. Should i change any setting? i am useing ADSL
it was going crazy last night with all these songs for the one song that i keyed in, i did not know what to do, anyway to night i thought i would try again but it seems to be dead.

i have tried downloading numerous things of win mx. whenever i do i get put into a queue and always up in the 20's.. i left one download for 40 mins and when i returned i was still the same number. got fed up and have deleted it.
Kazaa lite is good for the number of downloads - could be better if it allowed you to search connection rates and bitrate though.
