Could anyone please either point me to a diagram locating the ECU in a MY99, OR help me out in locating it. A virtual pint is in the offing

On the passenger side of the car, under where the passenger will put there feet, there is a big shiny metal plate, that can cut your hands if not careful. ECU will be under there. You have to remove the side panel and pull the carpet back.

Hope this helps, Phill C

Red face

I won't do the Bailey's advert then. Don't like the stuff too much anyway, except in/on icecream. But not a man's drink.

What are you planning to do to your ECU - I'm always up for a fiddle with ECUs... ?

Going to try Tony Burns' ECU in my MY99 - to see if there's any change in the slight hesitation problem I'm experiencing.

Wink

BuRR,

You'll neeed to get your keys programmed to accept the ECU (or the other way around) ECU to accept the keys. Not sure which is correct, but if you don't the car will start, but not run.

Dealers can do it for you

Cheers Phill C

I'd better wait then :-/ - Tony - I may be sending this ECU back a bit quicker than we first anticipated.
