Up Pipe to Turbo gasket mismatch? Scoobyclinic up pipe
I have a VF29 turbo that has been ported out to the OE gasket line in order to match the old megan headers that I had crack on me.
Now, the new up pipe is a scoobyclinic slip jointed 2" and a bit. Its a little bit bigger than the gaskets inner diameter but looks like it will still seal well enough.
So my question is this. Are there any other gaskets that people would recommend to use other than the OE version?
PS I did think about opening out the gasket itself but it looks way to thin on the inner ring to do that without causing a leak.
Cheers,
Wayne.

If you're saying the uppipe is wider than the crush ring then I don't think it will seal properly? But IIRC a 2" uppipe will still grab the crush ring.
Oh and don't try opening out the inner ring, its just a U channel, so as soon as you take meat off the bottom of the 'U' you've lost your seal.
