Default Tegsport

Thinking of taking my 1996 STI 2 import here for a remap purely because its close to where i live.

Has anyone any good/bad/constructive comments to help me make my decision??

Thanks in advance

I have no idea about TEG although Steve Simpson there is a good mapper from what I've read,
BUT

I have had my road/racer mapped rpeatedly by Andy Forrest and I would not go to anyone else.
He is very much in demand in the UK and overseas so that must say something too.

Wink

Can't comment on Teg Sport's engine builds... ( My type R was taken there by its previous owner for a rebuild... lasted 5K... ) Suppose it was down to build and owner in all fairness... if people don't wanna spend the money, then shortcuts will be taken and the risks are obvious...
Upon inspection of the engine we decided to build it ourselves... EJ22t 2.35 now!!! lol

I had a gearbox rebuilt by them for my UK Turbo... which was spot on... couldn't fault the gearbox recon for the money... would use them again... Very good service... Stuart is spot on up there...

Steve Simpson... Again... can't fault him... I've spoke to him a few times regarding mapping... he's even been willing to give advice and answer questions my mapper has had... he's helped Andy ( mapper ) quite alot regarding removing my GEMS ECU and re-fitting it to another Scooby...
Top bloke... very helpful...
Always busy... which is a good sign... both Steve and Teg Sport...

The last sentence is the key.
The good guys are in demand like mad.
You only get that if they are stupidly cheap or bloody good.

Steve is a fantastic guy , excellent mapper and all around good egg....

Andy F is of course very good aswell and very respected as he should be...

Personally worked with both and have the utmost respect for both of them , either one would be a great choice for your vehicle...

Pop over to the local lancs website, they have done dyno days at TEGS and I'm sure a few use him for mapping etc.

LADS - Lancashire And District Subaru owners club

I work in Carnforth and there is a regular stream of subaru's going up and down presumably to his workshop. I know ppl travel quite a way for his services. His workshop is clean, organised, well stocked and busy when I've been to visit. Some lovely EVO's in there too ....
