Vss 2 runs off your gearbox to either the speedo cable and then runs to your speedo or via an electric loom.

If its a cable it may have come loose if its an import it could be the derestrictor.

If its the electric variety the derestrictor chips can fail.

i bought a sh vvs for £20 from a breakers - but finally found the error to be a badly wired turbo timer.

Unlikely the Apexi just monitors the speed signal.. it doesn't use it.. unlike the original ecu with speed limiter on.
Therefore no problem on the Apexi.

so is it going to cause me anymore problems with the apexi pfc or would it be wise to replace the speed sensor??

it won't cause any problems no..

if you were to fit an Apexi AVC-R it might cause a problem with the gear judge set up if the speed sensor is not function correctly.

I assume your speed works fine?
