The car is a 2.0 twin turbo legacy gt wagon 1996 Jap import

Right, the car will drive steadily and if you give it any oomph whatsoever the "CHECK ENGINE" light will display and the car will suddenly be limited to 3,500-4,000 rpm. At this point the ligh stays on until the car is switched off, then back on again and it will reset.

Then the same happens over and over again, the car also seems to have become very sluggish and after taking the car to a diagnostics okace they tell me that there is a fault picked up by a pressure sensor.

I had also heard a rumour that it could be a leak in a hose between the two turbos which could be causing such a problem. if you need to know anymore information or think you can help, please let me know!!

you seem to have answered your own questions??

check for a pipe off / split pipe or leak.. if there aren't any then replace the map sensor..
