Lightbulb VF30 ign and inj base map help!!!

Hi all, i bought sti4 type r couple months ago, since i bought my STi i was always planning to tune this things up,

recently i have ordered these items from japan:

AVC-R -already installed by myself
VF30 -not yet but ported the outlet yesterday, will port the wastegate and turbine
1200 C - thermo tec coating spray for headers
wrap -once done coating will wrap it
Power FC - not installed yet (vf30 map required)
blitz induction - only will install if found nice FMIC from japan

here are the items i have at the moment,

about a dyno or mapper do not even need to think about it, we do not have any well knowledged ppl around here, thats why i am doing everything bymyself, also already spent 2 months surfing thru this forum, thx for all scooby owners for your valuable experiences,

therefore i am asking your advice as well as base map for my this setup (vf30) prior to start my initial setup. Also any advice related to this setup welcome, and is it possible to get around 370hp from this setup (stock TMIC 440cc), also i am bit worried about my gearbox will it last long? thank you

forgot to say: i have already installed walbro 255.

i guess the first question would be, why did you buy a VF30??

and no, 370 wont be possible from that as the turbo is too small (a genuine 370bhp)

The blitz induction kits arent fantastic either there are better offerings out there and for less money too, they are proven to suck through a lot more crap than other filters damaging the engine.

because i found it from japan bit cheaper both are slightly used and induction kit came with vf30 as one set.

i thought if i go with larger turbo that might need to have larger injector and also bit worried about the gearbox damage.

anyway thanks for your reply.

Hi There,

If you want 370 there are a few problems with the proposed set up.

The VF30 is too small.
Ditto the injectors
You'd need to upgrade the intercooler; either to an Sti 8 one or a FMIC.
Gearbox longevity is difficult to predict. Some go on and on, others break quickly at lower power levels that you're after. Mapping and driving style are BIG factors.

Don't think you'll make 370 with a 16G, you'd probably need a TD05 18G to make your target.

no that will be based on an american site, a big 16g will only ever make a true 350 maximum on fump fuel.

Dont be fooled by adverts on american sites that advertise them as 400bhp turbos etc....
