Question AVC-R ?

I will be getting my 99 uk turbo mapped again (Ecutek) after fitting my next batch of mods.
Is there any point in getting one of these (AVC-R's) to go along with the Ecutek or is it only needed in conjunction with the Apexi Ecu and commander ?

cheers.

you can fit the Avcr as a standalone boost controller

But would you want to run an AVC-R as well as the ECUTEK.

Would you not risk damage from running the AVCR with ECUTEK?

Yes, you can either have ECUTEK to control everything or like you said the AVCR control the boost and the ECU controls the Fueling and timing to suit.

AVCR has the advantage of gear dependant boost control, so you can set it to hit the same boost in every gear.

I had the AVCR-r fitted at the same time as a new turbo, injectors and headers then remapped.
Prob best to get it checked after fitting.
