Default v1 gearbox onto v2

does a 94 v1 sti gearbox fit onto a 95 v2 sti, all the plugs, clutch and all, thanks phil.

i have looked at the two boxes and so far they look the same, will i find something to be a problem.

The box will fit, i am pritty sure the clutch are the same but you would need to check.

thanks very much, i am pretty sure after looking at them both that it will go on, i just need to gett the other one off then i will know for sure, how do you separate the clutch mechanism.

Post up the codes that are on the boxes, you have to make sure the front diff ratios are the same but in any case mechanically they will fit. BTW a MY94 STI and a MY95 STI both have 4.1 front diffs so you should be OK.

for thows how need to know, the v1 sti gearbox will fit on a v2 sti, there is no differnce at all, thanks to thows who helpe me, phil.
