my mate uis looking at a white sti type r well thats what i think it is but the bloke selling says its a p1 did they make white ones? also the bloke says its doing 350 and its faster than most track cars would of thought that 350 was the norm for a track car he also says it has a special aluminium chassis but it has not got any brake upgrades surely if it was preped by prodrive they would have done the brakes he says because he has a prodrive sti or whatever he is caling it he gets let into many events by showing them his logbook i have a uk turbo so i no very little about type r's or p1's can anyone shed some light on this

The bloke says it is but if all this was true surely he would want more than 7 grand for it

interesting thread that so it does seem there may be a white p1 but this bloke is also saying its a p1 because it is a p reg but it is not a type r 2 doors white looks like one to me

From what your mates been told, it's VERY unlikely that it's a P1. With all due respect to the seller, I don't think he knows what he's talking about P1's didn't come out until 99 (or maybe 98, I'm not sure!) but no way were they around in 1996 (P reg)

For the record, if it's a P1 it won't have DCCD (so no dial near the hand brake)
