Default Judder when pulling away

Hi

Got an 02 WRX,when you pull away in first gear and when the engine is cold, there is a real bad judder coming from the front end, dont think its a clutch problem, and it only does it when cold....fine when warmed up.Does anyone have any ideas.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Default You've got clutch judder

Yes mate you've got classic clutch judder. Particularly 'cause it's an '02. I had the same (many do) but had it replaced under warranty which you now can't. It's the clutch and there's planty on here about it if you search.

Geds.

The compound on the clutch is still cold and harder, as the engine warms and the plates do as well they start to glide together rather than jumping around like a kangaroo.

Or this is what i believe to be true!

Def the clutch i'm afraid, had it on my 01 WRX really bad! Found that a couple of blasts from the light letting the clutch slip in slightly helped for a week or so but eventually opted for a new clutch, just as well i know someone who works for subaru who changed it, with 7 hours of my help, for £100, obviously plus the cost of the clutch, but a friend worth having if i need regular clutch changes lol

I have just had an Exedy organic clutch fitted, and it's juddering harder than a sex toy on a plate glass window.

Fecking anoying, going to try the 4000rpm clutch dumping method, also read that changing to 5.1 fluid helps, will be asking more about this, first!
