Default Places fror New STi Short end?

Hi there , I have a version V 99 Sti that has seized engine.

So ideally I'm looking to replace the short end

Does anyone know where I can get a new 2.0 STi complete short end from for a reasonabe price?

flat4online offer the 2.5 for £1595 inc with gaskits.. but cant seem to find any new 2.0 Ej20 STi engines for dust

Any help appreciated.

Any joy yet? I expect it will be big £££ for a genuine ej20 sti short block.

How long can you wait?? I have an genuine STi version 4 which I am about to bite the bullet order a new 2.5 short block from the US. I had the engine dyno tested @ 291.4 hp at Alan Jeffery - Engine Tuner just this Friday (chart to prove). The engine is sweet & no nasty sounds from cold but one of the headgaskets has just gone letting gases into the coolant. There has been no overheating or oil/water contamination tho.

Personally I think the 2.5 is the way to go so my shortblock will be up for grabs & open to offers.

The version 4 short motor is wrong for the version 5 [ 99 car ] The pistons are different and the compressions will be off.

Cheers I didn't know that either. I was under the impression that the engine parts were interchangable.

Does this mean that I should start panicking I have just ordered & paid for a 2.5 Sti short engine. Does this mean I will have problems with version 4 heads in the 2.5 conversion, or is it just a case of using different thickness head gaskets?

You can use a diferent head gasket thickness to compensate if needed.
