Default my99 uk impreza now pulling my hair out

Ever since buying this car its been trouble . in the first hour tyre went bang on motorway . week later a new maf sensor then it runs ok 4 a bit but now,it has a surging problem under 4000rpm it had so many new parts im sick of it.
NEW PARTS IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS
1 new maf again , and no it on a apexi panel filter .
2 o2 sensor subaru part
3 ht leads
4 coil pack
5 knock sensor
6 fuel pump
7 full service ie cambelt plugs
8 td04 turbo
9 lots of other silly parts ie gaskets pipes .
i thought when i got this car i had got the right one 70000miles mint condition engine rebuilt with proof . full subaru service history now im gutted . subaru has not been my best performance car . any help please

I'm sure you've checked this but thought I'd ask anyway. It aint something as simple as a partially blocked vacuum pipe, brass restrictor, etc?

i would seriously have a look at the plugs dude i know you say they are new but still could be faulty (or not gapped correctly) do you have the code on the side of the plugs... its just that you are having the exact same probs i had and when the plugs were changed it was like having a different car cos you are still expecting the hesitation and holding back feeling...let us know how you go....Justin.......

Default Spark Plug Torque

Sounds like the exact problem I am having. I'm fitting my new plugs this weekend. new leads will arrive next week.

Could I hijack this post and ask what torque the spark plugs need to be?

cheers J.

Take it to a specialist before you spend more money on things that probably aren't required.

What's your place like at fault finding Zen? Is there any way you guys can check for air leaks or exhaust leaks?
