maybe tell us a bit more. have u changed plugs recently? and if yes were they torqued up correctly?
also ur panel filter is it a dry cotton one or an oil type one?

hi mate yes dry filter and plugs are new and torqued up ngk,s when driving on part throttle it feels like your pulling the hand brake up and down slightly when boost comes on wot it has a hesitation then goes as it should im puzzeled now:wonder:

edmy716 29 January 2007 10:30 PM

dont give up m8, tbh the mafs are shocking on my99 i replaced mine three times!! first two were my fault (oily panel filter).

have u tried cleaning the boost solenoid?

4evermad 29 January 2007 10:33 PM

yes m8 boost sol is well clean . it worse cold as well .

edmy716 29 January 2007 10:33 PM

were the plugs gapped?

34srm 29 January 2007 10:37 PM

its worse when cold, is it more difficult to start when hot or cold might be worth changing coolant temp sender

4evermad 29 January 2007 10:42 PM

RON 29 January 2007 11:11 PM

dan83590 30 January 2007 04:54 PM

I'm sure you've checked this but thought I'd ask anyway. It aint something as simple as a partially blocked vacuum pipe, brass restrictor, etc?

catons scooby 30 January 2007 06:37 PM

sticky actuator thingy

34srm 30 January 2007 06:54 PM

think he's pulled his hair out completely now, should we all chip in for a cap then his head doesnt get cold,

btt for ya

4evermad 31 January 2007 12:31 AM

i thought i would put on my manual boost controller just to check its not the boost sol but still same prob . and yes when turbo was put on all new pipe work with brass bit was used and yes im losing hair at no rate......

34srm 31 January 2007 12:35 AM

btt for ya

4evermad 31 January 2007 06:30 PM

no cap needed yet . but i can feel the pub calling me i need a stella fix

ace2000 31 January 2007 11:26 PM

i would seriously have a look at the plugs dude i know you say they are new but still could be faulty (or not gapped correctly) do you have the code on the side of the plugs... its just that you are having the exact same probs i had and when the plugs were changed it was like having a different car cos you are still expecting the hesitation and holding back feeling...let us know how you go....Justin.......

Spark Plug Torque

Sounds like the exact problem I am having. I'm fitting my new plugs this weekend. new leads will arrive next week.

Could I hijack this post and ask what torque the spark plugs need to be?

cheers J.:thumb:

Take it to a specialist before you spend more money on things that probably aren't required.

What's your place like at fault finding Zen? Is there any way you guys can check for air leaks or exhaust leaks?
