Then £130 max for the pump and 45 mins to change isn't too much to ask surely?

Ditch the K&N filter on the end of the APS cold air kit too.

I have one of these and replaced it for a fine mesh item. The car breaths alot better and no Maf problems.

I'm sure a Walbro 255 can be had for roughly £85 from flat4online.

Sorry mate I have to disagree with you. I'm running circa 380 bhp have been for over 30,000 miles as a daily driver in all sorts of weather and conditions. Took the filter off the other day to clean it. The inside was spotless and the turbo is very healthy indeed with no signs of debris getting through the filter.
The turbo is currently sitting on my garage floor as its getting changed for either a rotated garrett or an MD321T from Lateral.

The maf hasn't been swapped or cleaned and the power FC shows that its reading fine.

I'm speaking from experience and having tried many things. Not just from what I've heard.

Hope that helps
