Default Exhaust advice- who can supply and fit?

Hi,

I live in the Scottish Highlands and would like to put a new Backbox on my 2005 WRX.
Does anyone know who can supply and fit the Backbox to replace my Standard Box. I would like a exhaust which isnt too load at cruise speeds, but has a bit of grunt when excellerated

Very easy to swap the back box over, any local garage could do it if you don't want to crawl under the car yourself so fitting shouldn't be a problem no matter what you buy.

Prodrive back box is a slight improvement, looks quite nice and can be picked up off here or ebay in good condition for not much money. Not very loud.

I have scoobysport 'classic' style with the 3.5 inch exit and I believe H&S make a virtually identical box. I like the sound, not too noisy but gives the distinctive burble. Revolution exhaust systems get good reviews and I think they do a smaller exit (3.5 inch or so) back box, pleanty of ppl on here have them so someone will tell you how loud they are. Just avoid the 'jap' style large exit boxes if you don't want to shatter the quiet of the highlands.

Not sure if your warranty would be affected, but I suspect the prodrive box would be within warranty spec ? - worth checking before you swap.

Cheers for that.

I have just looked at the H&S backbox (£233) which looks good.

Is it easy to fit a backbox?

It's very simple....there are only two nuts to undo, slide the back box off its rubber hangers, and offer up the new one. Shouldn't take more than 15 - 20 minutes. Spray the bolts with WD40 the night before you do it.
