im getting a ecu faullt code 53 and the car wont start just turns over checked and there is a spark and i think also theres fuel i have checked the fault code off psi website and it says quick start operation mode, which doesnt mean anything, can anyone help?

code 53 - fuel pump or circuit , check fuse and relay and power to the pump etc

 

thanks is there a way to turn the immobiliser off?

 

checked the psi website and found theres a list of about 5 different things that it could be

 

what year is the car?

From the description and code I would say it is key communication error.. are you using the spare key or have you tried the spare key?
Is the key light on the dash going out?

for some weird reason the car has now started and ive resetted the ecu, think i shouldnt have ressetted the ecu, ive booked the car in at prosport on wendesday, will the ecu error code be still there if i resetted the ecu? but after the reset the cars runnnig fine again with no error codes, the car is uk my99

 

im using the original key and i dont have any spare keys other then the original 1 the keylight is going off aswel?

was driving the car about then stopped off at tesco, then went back to the car then tried to start it, it turned over for about a second, started then cut out then it wouldnt start at all, the AA guy checked the spark plug and fuel and said there was both but it wouldnt start! so i had to get it towed back, then this morning it tried to start it and it started 1st time but still showed the engine checklight so i did a ecu reset with the connectors and now is all fine, is it still worth me going to get it checked out?

 

the code history will be wiped too..

I suspect the immobiliser has a funny five minutes..
