Im getting error code 53 "IMM circuit failure (except antenna circuit"
does anyone know exactly what that is?

my car is occasionally loosing boost.. appears to enter limp mode.. max boost is then 0,5bar and totatally powerless.. really annoying so im trying to find what the cause could be.. and thats the only error code I get

that doesnt tell me anything.. I already know what the error is called.. but I dont know what could be triggering it.. and what it does..

 

From that code, it's an Immobiliser circuit failure. Not much more can be said about it (obvioulsly) without running through the diagnostic procedure for that code.

 

that code seems to come on just when i start the engine then goes away.. then it doesnt show any errors... but still only getting 0.5bar boost .. what could be the reason for it :S

 

I had a quick look in the workshop manual yesterday to identify the possible reason for the code and saw there is a diagnostic test procedure to follow to identify the actual fault, so you'd need to book it in with us or (or a specialist close to you) to invetigate it.

As for the boost part, it's not impossible that's a seperate fault, but like I say, I didn't check that far into it?
