oil pressure readings
just wired oil pressure gauge in, its a 100psi version, on engine start up the gauge is flat out at 100psi, although this drop when warmed at idle, as soon as i touch throttle it just reads off the gauge, is this normal or does any1 know what it should b roughly reading, i dont know wether i should have fitted a gauge with lets say 150psi on it, nb. i think its had a modified oil pump fitted, will this also affect it?

When warm and driving, my gauge reads 6 bar. This is 87 psi.
On a cold start mine will read over 6 bar.
So bearing in mind that 100 psi is 6.89 bar, then yes it is feasible that your gauge will max out when cold.
I would say that is normal when cold, as my car has reached that sort of figure before.
When warm and idling, mine sits around 3 to 3.5 bar, so that is around 43 to 50 psi for you at tickover warm

I've got a 100psi on mine. Start up reads just a touch over 100 then once warm about 90 - 95 ish. Then when at idle while warm, 45 ish. Rev it and it just acts like a RPM gauge
should be ok with the gauge you have IMHO
